Arsenal are set for an intriguing January transfer window.

Boss Unai Emery recently confirmed they can only do loan deals this window – but it appears they haven’t given up hope of strengthening.

They are continuing to pursue top target Denis Suarez from Barcelona, whilst Yannick Carrasco’s wife has given an update on his future with the Gunners said to be interested in the Belgian.

Aaron Ramsey also appeared to move a step closer to his inevitable exit over the weekend with Juventus making their latest move in pursuit of the Welshman.

Here’s the latest stories and rumours that have caught our eye regarding Arsenal.

    Carrasco’s wife confirms offers made

Several European clubs have made offers for Yannick Carrasco, according to his wife.

Speaking to Belgian outlet RTBF,  Noémie Happart revealed that offers have been made from numerous clubs – including Premier League sides.

Arsenal have been linked to Carrasco as he looks for a move away from Chinese club Dailan Yifang, who he joined from Atletico Madrid last February.

“There are a lot of things happening. He’s been called by many clubs, all of which are interested.

“Offers have arrived from Germany, Spain, England, and Italy but nothing is concrete, nothing has been signed yet.”

    Ramsey set for medical

Aaron Ramsey was reportedly set to undergo a medical with Juventus on Sunday.

The Italian champions are looking to tie up a deal for the Arsenal midfielder.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports Juve officials travelled to London to carry out the medical as he nears a confirmed exit from the Emirates.

    Gunners schedule Suarez talks

Arsenal have not given up on signing Denis Suarez in January – despite their transfer block.

Gunners boss Unai Emery confirmed last week that Arsenal can only do loan deals in this window.

But Arsenal are still in dialogue over Suarez with the Barcelona midfielder keen to move to the Emirates in January.

It would have to be a loan move with a view to a permanent switch in the summer with the deal likely to cost around £18m.

However, Barcelona are looking for a new striker – with Chelsea ’s out-of-favour Alvaro Morata a possibility – and if they bring one in then it may tempt them to let Suarez go out.

Barcelona are making it clear they do not want to lose Suarez in this window and have so far rebuffed talk about a loan deal.
