Liverpool moved back seven points clear at the top of the Premier League win a win over Brighton on Saturday.

Mohamed Salah scored the only goal from the penalty spot, to leave Jurgen Klopp delighted.

But will Klopp look to dip into the market this month, in a bid to further strengthen their title claims?

A defensive injury crisis meant needing to play Fabinho at the back on the south coast.

He’s been linked with a number of players – but as yet there’s no sign of movement on Merseyside.

Here’s a look at the stories involving Liverpool right now

    Liverpool tracking Celtic ace?

According to the Scottish Sun, Liverpool are interested in signing Celtic midfielder James Forrest.

It’s reported that Jurgen Klopp has been keeping tabs on the winger for a number of months.

Forrest has impressed for the Bhoys this term, scoring 17 times.

The 27-year-old has a deal at Parkhead until 2022, but could be available for around £8million.

    Fabinho fires

Fabinho has let rip at Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian has taken aim at the French club’s ‘dirty tactics’, having previously been linked with a move to Parc des Princes.

Now the £44million summer signing has dismissed suggestions he has any interest in leaving Anfield for a return to France.

Liverpool could lose out if Coutinho joins United

Liverpool fans will be hoping Coutinho – who was a big player for them once upon a time – won’t sign for their bitter rivals Manchester United for obvious reasons.

For financial reasons, club chiefs will be hoping the same.

When Coutinho was sold to Barcelona, a number of clauses were included in the deal.

And the Reds could lose out on £22million if Coutinho were to move to Manchester now.
